About the role
ECI is a leading power engineering consultant firm providing services to electric utilities, energy developers, and industrials. This position is available in the Mankato, MN office.
Responsibilities
- Structural engineering responsibilities include design criteria, structure design, foundation design, building design, and related works.
- Civil engineering responsibilities include design criteria, grading & drainage design, access road design, retaining walls, perimeter walls, fences and gates, water storm drawing design, and interpretation of hydrology studies.
- May perform project management functions including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, team leadership, project monitoring, client interface, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years structural and/or caisson foundation experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy.
- A PE license is preferred depending on experience level.
- Knowledgeable of applicable codes, standards, and design tools.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of applicable codes, standards, and design tools.
Skills
- Ability to learn and apply various software design packages such as Visual Analysis, STAAD.Pro, Risa, LPILE, MFAD, and CAISSON.
- ACAD Civil 3D experience preferred.

Pay
Compensation Range: $88,000 - $144,000 Annually. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
Schedule
Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI’s auto insurance carrier requirements.
