Civil Engineer

About the role

We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, and we are currently seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the Austin market.

Responsibilities

• Perform site due diligence
• Design and draft land development concept plans
• Guide clients through the first steps toward bringing their building to life
• Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process
• Create AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles
• Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans
• Conduct stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis
• Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans and discuss project direction

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline
• 2-8 years' of land planning experience in Austin
• AutoCad Civil 3D experience creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles (a plus)
• Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently
• Read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, FWS wetland maps, record civil and survey drawings
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (not required, but preferred)
