Responsibilities
- Support engineering projects from conception to completion under the supervision of a licensed engineer.
- Aid in Project Management tasks such as developing proposals, managing client invoices, adhering to AECOM’s quality requirements.
- Create drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Participate in site visits to assess existing structures and monitor construction progress.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Attend client meetings and presentations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovative structural engineering practices.
- Collect and analyze field data.
- Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
- Work within agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Travel to other states for fieldwork on 1 to 3-day trips, accounting for up to 20% of the overall time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 2 years of relevant engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first six months.
- Prior experience in the water industry is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Previous project management experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects efficiently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
