Civil Engineer

About the role

The company offers a hybrid work model, initially requiring new hires to work three days per week in the office. The office is located in Warrenville, IL, with another office in Champaign, IL. The organization has a flat structure with shareholder/principals leading market sectors and mentoring junior staff. The land development team consists of 8-9 individuals, and the role involves close coordination with multiple teams and municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Civil 3D for designing grading, earthwork, and erosion control.
• Prepare stormwater pollution prevention plans and stormwater design.
• Design pavement and site development projects.
• Conduct engineering analysis, designs, and calculations.
• Aid in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and design review.
• Visit project sites for field inspection as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in site development, both residential and commercial.
• Experience in land development and stormwater analysis and design.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• PE license or ability to obtain one within a year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $115,000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
