Civil Designer-Municipal Infrastructure
About the role
We create the systems that connect people, places, and opportunity, from complete streets and parks to utilities and civic spaces. As a Civil Designer, you'll support a variety of public infrastructure projects and learn how smart design strengthens communities.
Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing site, stormwater, and utility designs
- Create drawings, plans, cost estimates, and technical documents
- Visit sites and assist with construction observation and data collection
- Evaluate design alternatives and solve technical challenges under the guidance of senior engineers
- Collaborate with teams across planning, environmental, surveying, and other disciplines
- Participate in design training and mentoring activities to build technical foundation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-2 years of experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Familiarity with Civil 3D (preferred, not required)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and curiosity about public infrastructure

Pay
Salary Range: $63,000 - $72,000 per year
