Civil Design Technician

Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a CAD Operator for its Roadway team in Lubbock, Texas. This position is not available remotely.

Responsibilities

• Use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects
• Design and produce sets of plans
• Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards
• Maintain drawing database
• Perform routine analysis to check accuracy of data
• Familiarize oneself with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (an associates degree is preferred)
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products is preferred
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills, and a desire to learn
• Able to work independently and with a team
