Civil Design Engineer - Oakland

About the role

This role requires a strong structural engineering foundation. Candidates should be comfortable performing structural assessments and calculations, including bending moments, shear forces, load analysis, and beam design principles. A solid understanding of the underlying equations, calculations, and structural concepts is critical for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural assessments and calculations
• Conduct load analysis
• Design beams and other structural components
• Understand and apply ASCE 7 and ACI 318 standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3+ Years in Civil/Structural Engineering Design
• Civil PE License (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with SAP 2000 software

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in civil and structural engineering
• Comfortable with structural assessment and calculation tasks
• Understanding of underlying equations, calculations, and structural concepts

Skills

• Proficiency in structural engineering software (SAP 2000)
