Job Overview
Coastal Marine Construction, LLC is seeking a seasoned Civil Construction Project Manager to lead complex marine construction projects including piers, wharves, cofferdams, and pile driving operations. This high-impact role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence to deliver mission-critical infrastructure on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through final completion
- Develop and manage schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and cost forecasts
- Cook up and manage procurement plans, cost forecasts, and schedules
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Engineers, subcontractors, and clients
- Handle contract administration, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Conduct site visits and ensure alignment with plans, timelines, and safety standards
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and field challenges
- Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of accountability and improvement
Qualifications
- 10+ years in heavy civil or marine construction, with at least 3 years in project management
- Expertise in pile driving, dredging, cofferdam construction, and marine foundations
- Ability to lead diverse teams and manage subcontractors on complex projects
- Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or Primavera P6
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required)
- PMP, CCM, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
- Preferred Experience: Managing construction of marine structures such as piers, docks, or offshore platforms
- Familiarity with regulatory and environmental compliance in coastal zones
- Knowledge of underwater construction and marine asset logistics (barges, tugs, cranes)
