Civil Construction Inspector 1
About the role
We're looking for a Civil Construction Inspector I to join our dynamic Field Services team. You'll be responsible for conducting and documenting observations of construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads and bridges.
- Maintain accurate records and inspections of construction projects.
- Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing.
- Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school or Associate degree.
- Demonstrated experience in construction inspection.
- Certifications such as ACI, ATTI, or NICET.
