Civil CAD Technician

About the role

This Drafter position requires strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills, as well as the ability to function in a team environment. This exciting opportunity will provide for continued professional growth as a part of our established mentorship programs.

Responsibilities

• Revising existing drawings and preparing drawings of basic components from explicit verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches
• Plotting drawings successfully
• Learning and following company and client drafting standards and procedures
• Learning the practices of a selected discipline
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and coursework in drafting technology
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience
• Basic knowledge of commands in at least one CAD program; ability to occasionally use higher-level commands, time saving programs and routines
• Basic knowledge and experience in multiple CAD systems preferred (including 3D)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in collaborative team environment
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
• Ability to meet deadlines and budget
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
