CityVet Veterinarian Pre-Clinical Program
Program Overview
CityVet early clinical experience provides a structured yet flexible clinical experience in small animal general practice settings, with many locations also offering urgent care exposure.
Eligibility
- 1st and 2nd -year DVM students at AVMA-accredited veterinary schools
- Duration: Schedule flexibility to accommodate university rotation requirements
- Locations: CityVet clinics available across multiple states
- Housing: Housing is not provided; however, CityVet can share accommodation recommendations from prior externs
- International students: Eligible if enrolled at an AVMA-accredited university and authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
What to Expect
- Work alongside experienced veterinary teams
- Receive exposure that may include: Small animal general practice medicine and surgery
- Client communication and case management
- Collaboration with technicians and support staff
- Exposure to clinic operations and team leadership
- Mentorship from practicing veterinarians
