Program Overview
- Eligibility: 1st and 2nd -year DVM students at AVMA-accredited veterinary schools
- Duraton: Schedule flexibility to accommodate university rotation requirements
- Locations: CityVet clinics available across multiple states
- Housing: Housing is not provided; however, CityVet can share accommodation recommendations from prior externs
- International students: Eligible if enrolled at an AVMA-accredited university and authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
What to Expect
- Work alongside experienced veterinary teams
- Receive exposure to small animal general practice medicine and surgery
- Observe client communication and case management
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff
- Gain exposure to clinic operations and team leadership
