About the role
Reporting to the Director of Development Services, the City Engineer leads 27 professionals responsible for Land Development, Capital Improvement Projects, Transportation Planning, and Inspection. The position oversees a $3.6 million operating budget, a $22 million Capital Improvement Program, and provides project management support for the Utilities Department. The City Engineer will lead major infrastructure projects, streamline development review, and help shape the future of Engineering Services.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Eight years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
- Three years of supervisory responsibility.
- Registration as a California Professional Civil Engineer.
Pay
$159,681 - $237,523 annually. Placement within range dependent on qualifications and experience.
