The City of Escondido is seeking a City Engineer.
About the role
As a City Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public works projects. You will also provide technical support to other departments and assist in the development of policies and procedures related to engineering.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of public works projects
- Provide technical support to other departments
- Aid in the development of policies and procedures related to engineering
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience
- Valid California Professional Engineer (PE) license
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project management software
- Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
