Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- A Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited college of law
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible legal experience, with five (5) years in government law, civil practice, and the supervision of other attorneys
- Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing, preferably certified in City, County, Local Government Law
Preferred Qualifications
- Served as a city/county attorney or assistant in a community of similar complexities
- Experience in litigation and transactional law
- Experience in areas such as growth management, land use, environmental, contractual, employment, historic preservation, and utilities
