About the role

As a Citizens Teller, you make a real difference for our customers and the branch team. You’ll greet customers in our lobbies, demonstrate how to use our mobile app or ATMs for simple transactions, and create amazing experiences by providing personalized advice and solutions that meet their financial needs. You’ll connect customers to our Bankers for the next step, educate them on Citizens products and benefits, and respond effectively to their questions or concerns. You’ll follow all financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling, and comply with state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in branch lobbies and assist with transactions.
  • Demonstrate digital tools (mobile app, ATMs) to help customers complete simple transactions.
  • Provide personalized advice and solutions to help customers achieve their financial goals.
  • Connect customers to Bankers for further assistance.
  • Educate customers on Citizens products and benefits.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns effectively.
  • Follow all financial policies, procedures, and regulations, including proper cash handling.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience processing transactions (cash and/or digital payments).
  • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated customer experience, including recommending and referring products and services.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively ask questions and identify customer needs to build long-term relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills to provide solutions to customer issues.
  • Customer-centric approach to deliver exceptional service.
  • Comfortable using digital technology to support business goals.
  • Ability to work branch hours, which may include weekends and evenings.

Preferred Skills

  • 1 year of experience processing transactions (cash and/or digital payments).
  • Ability to motivate others through collaboration.
  • Process-oriented, energetic, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $20.67 - $25.48 per hour. Actual pay is based on factors including budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.

Schedule

  • Hours per week: 35.
  • Work schedule varies with branch needs and may include weekends and evenings.
