Citation Aircraft Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift - 1065
About the role
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician position is available on a second shift schedule, Monday-Thursday, from 3pm-1am. The shift includes a 10-15% premium, paid lunch, 3-day weekends, and formal airframe training. After 3 years, there's an opportunity to transfer to first shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Remove and install panels and components.
- Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system/component issues.
- Operate ground support equipment.
- Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (speaking, writing, reading) in English.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or a valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
- AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
- AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
- AMT III: Airframe license is required; Powerplant license is highly preferred. 4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential.
- AMT IV (Master): Airframe and Powerplant license is required. 6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance. Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Attend work every day as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments.
- Notify supervisor in advance if unable to work.
- Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
- Work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Skills
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Close supervision of general maintenance tasks (for AMT I).
- General supervision on routine maintenance and detailed instruction for new or special assignments (for AMT II).
- Extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms (for AMT IV).
