Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network WLCs and Access Points.
- Provisioning of network wireless equipment/AP on DNAC.
- Implements and integrates Cisco ISE with wired data, wireless infrastructure, and VPN as well as posturing and client provisioning.
- Builds and analyzes ISE rules to comply with client network security policies.
- Build/Develop ISE rules scripts with associated change documentation to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Deep Troubleshooting skillset on ISE & DNAC.
- Basic understanding on SDA Fabric controllers and SDA LAN.
- Configuring & managing Cisco ISE infrastructure and access policies.
- Conduct and or coordinate site surveys, develop site plans to gain total coverage of facility.
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Arranging scheduled upgrades.
- Conduct wireless site surveys utilizing spectrum analysis technologies, recommend and implement corrective action.
- Investigating faults in the wireless network.
- Resolve incidents/problems/Changes according to established procedures.
- Work on Service improvement activities and completing it within the target dates.
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Work closely with customer, Infrastructure teams and vendors such as Cisco.
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience working in Cisco Wireless Controllers (5500s, 9800s) and Cisco Aironet 9100, 4800, 3800, 2800 Access Points.
- Strong understanding on Cisco ISE infrastructure and AAA.
- Implementing Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access), DNAC with Wireless Network Technologies and Meraki Solutions.
- Strong experience with Tools like Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, PagerDuty, Data Dog & Thousand Eyes.
- Strong understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with analysis tools such as Ekahau, Wireshark, etc.
- Deep understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) switching technologies including Cisco Wireless, SDA, DNAC, ISE, Virtual LAN (VLAN), STP, Trunking and Wireless concepts.
- Strong knowledge in Switching technologies – STP, Trunking, Ether channel, HSRP, VRRP, LACP, PaGP.
- CCNA Wireless Certified.
- Experience in configuring Cisco Wireless LAN & Light Weight Access Point Solutions.
- Strong work experience working in Cisco ISE models.
- Cisco ISE experience to understand how ISE works and integrates into wireless.
- Knowledge of AAA protocols such as DIAMETER and RADIUS and experience testing applications using these protocols.
- Guest access – ISE guest access.
- Flex Connect Experience on a large scale.
- Work on daily service tickets while engaged on enterprise wireless deployments.
- Strong experience with both centralized and local Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers.
- Strong experience with Cisco Lightweight Access Points.
- Thorough understanding of 802.11 based wireless architecture.
- Strong working knowledge installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco Router/Switch and Wireless LAN Hardware products.
- Cisco knowledge with network design, operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of routers, hubs, switches, Controllers, Access points, and cabling in a large enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN environment.
- Maintains familiarity with wireless security and ensure wireless network security is deployed.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS.
