CIS Practice Assistant Professor 2026

About the role

The University of Pennsylvania's Department of Computer & Information Science is seeking experienced teaching faculty under the Practice Professor track. This is an exciting opportunity to join a department experiencing significant growth and interest in CS courses at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate electives and Master’s-level courses, particularly in areas such as software engineering, artificial intelligence and data science, theoretical computer science, computer graphics, and cybersecurity.
  • Work closely with students of all backgrounds.
  • Promote and welcome wide-ranging viewpoints and experiences.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science or relevant discipline.
