Teaching Assistant Professor (Fall 2026)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will teach eight courses a year (four classes a semester), including sections of our innovative Foundations in Rhetoric course and upper-division courses in the instructor’s area of specialization.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Earned doctorate or a terminal degree.
• Five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience.
• Strong commitment to teaching first-year writing.
• Knowledge of effective and inclusive teaching techniques and strategies.
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching.
• Ability to contribute to fostering the diversity of the campus, curriculum, and/or discipline.
• Willingness to collaborate and engage with other departmental and university faculty.
