Circulator RN

About the role

Labette Health is seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Circulator RN to join our dynamic Surgical Services department. As a vital member of the operating room team, the Circulator RN ensures patient safety and facilitates efficient surgical procedures by coordinating all perioperative activities during surgery.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure.
• Monitor patient status and provide assistance during surgery.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are available and functioning.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure timely delivery of instruments and supplies.
• Assist with preparing and setting up the operating room.
• Document patient care and surgical details in medical records.
• Monitor patient progress during the surgery and communicate with the team.
• Assist in managing emergencies or complications during surgery.
• Provide immediate support in crisis situations.

Education Requirements

• Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid KS state nursing license.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in perioperative or surgical nursing preferred, willing to train new graduates
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Schedule

Day shift with rotating call requirements.
