Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills

• Identify and track local issues for three transportation agencies concerning bus, rail and highway interests
• Cook up coordination of local and community affairs with internal and external agencies
• Build positive relationships with local businesses, residents, community leaders, and elected officials
• Enact local advocacy strategies
• Identify areas of mutual concern with stakeholders
• Encourage dialogue between the District and the community
• Prepare correspondence, reports, talking points, and other materials

Minimum qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science or a related field
• Full-time progressively responsible experience similar to the essential functions listed above
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
