About the role
The CIP Operator will be responsible for sanitizing the production areas & utensils using chemicals and equipment per FDA guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Disassembles and sets up all production equipment
- Cleans all equipment using COP and CIP systems
- Verifies the proper cleaning and set-up of all equipment
- Puts away production and sanitation materials
- Drives material handling equipment
- Monitors/tests chemical concentration of all CIP systems
- Maintains CIP SCADA database with real-time process data
- Uses and completes data uploads, SSOP task completions, EMP tasks and other digital applications via a handheld tablet or computer terminal
- Documents necessary information on charts and CIP logs
- Takes inventory of sanitation supplies
- Partners with Quality’s use of bioluminescence technology to verify CIP systems
- Performs tasks according to the plant Master Sanitation Schedule in Kleanz and Internal GMP audits
- Performs basic troubleshooting of all Sanitation equipment
- Handles all Sanitation tools, chemicals and processes safely
- Trains new Associates on required skill sets for Environmental Operations
- Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines
- Operates Rich’s SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork
- Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Lead person
- Accurately and fully communicates and documents tasks, corrective actions, status updates and other vital information to appropriate Leaders and co-Associates
- Trains in other areas of the plant as required by the Skillblock program, which may include: Valve and Pump PM program
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; 1+ years of relevant (chemical handling and machine operation) experience preferred
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to train other Associates in Sanitation/Environmental operations
- Desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team
- Proficiency on Rich’s SCADA system
- Awareness of and ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines
- Awareness of and ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines
- Understanding of proper machine operating and adjusting procedures
- Ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned
