Responsibilities
- Serve as primary investigator on fatality and other complex enforcement inspections, working mainly in the field.
- Independently perform complex and comprehensive industrial hygiene and occupational safety inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with adopted OSHA standards.
- Provide Ohio public employers and employees with occupational health and safety compliance assistance.
- Identify existing or potential safety and health hazards and/or facilitate compliance with adopted Ohio Employment Risk Reduction Standards in Ohio Revised Code & Ohio Administrative Code chapter 4167.
Requirements
Position Specific Minimum Qualifications:
- 12 months experience citing, interpreting, and applying Federal OSHA regulations and standards.
- 12 months experience conducting air, noise, and chemical monitoring and sampling using related industrial hygiene equipment (e.g., dosimeters, sound-level meter, air sampling pumps, velometer, electrical circuit test equipment, direct reading air monitoring devices, and other equipment).

- Citing, interpreting, and applying Consensus Standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA, NEC).
- Technical writing and conducting research on industrial or environmental health and safety hazards.

Pay
$36.90 - 54.17 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week
