Cigar Shop Attendant
Essential Functions
- Fulfills guest's cigar order requests in the Cigar Lounge or other areas as assigned, by taking & processing orders, and serving them in a friendly, quick and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of POS – point of sales & usage.
- Adheres to SOP for cash handling & other tender transactions.
- Sets up their workspace, including but not limited to stocking necessary items needed for guest use, cleanliness of workspace & outlying spaces, such as the patio or Hardy room.
- Maintains a clean, well-organized and properly stocked service area at all times.
- Assists bourbon tastings when needed, including but not limited to set up & clean up.
- Empowered to handle guest concerns &, if necessary, solicits involvement & support from leadership.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Nemacolin happenings, daily events & answer guests questions accordingly.
- Responsible for prioritizing multiple tasks & maintaining collective & genuine in high volume situations.
- Adheres to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
- A friendly and outgoing personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Customer service experience preferred; tobacco knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts – including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry helpful.

As a cigar retail attendant you will also be responsible for creating “Real Life Magic” for our guests. You will provide extraordinary guest service – going above and beyond in all situations. The cigar retail attendant plays a crucial role in our guests experience by serving guests with style, courtesy, & a sense of fun with a focus on tobacco & fine spirits.
