About the role
We are seeking a Counterintelligence (CI) Specialist to support a customer at a site in Ft. Meade, MD. The role involves identifying, monitoring, and assessing foreign intelligence efforts, applying an understanding of foreign intelligence capabilities, and contributing to the development of CI strategies. This position is fully on-site.
Responsibilities
- Identify, monitor, and assess foreign intelligence efforts attempting to collect sensitive national security information.
- Apply understanding of foreign intelligence capabilities and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for in-depth analytic research and production of all-source CI studies.
- Conduct, develop, produce, and present programs of instruction in specified collection operations TTPs.
- Perform coordination and deconfliction of CI operational activity conducted by Military Department CI Organizations (MDCO).
- Maintain and update multiple databases, requiring familiarity with MS Excel and Access.
- Provide updates to leadership on the status and disposition of relevant CI activity.
- Serve as a representative to the Joint Operations Center (JOC), providing a channel for information injection and support requests.
- Develop a concept for Command counterintelligence programs.
- Develop and deliver counterintelligence briefs for personnel, including to General/Flag Officer audiences.
- Conduct counterintelligence functions including investigations, inquiries, and collection.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is required.
- Must be a graduate of an in-residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or Military Service equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of CI specialist experience is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Access is required for database maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 years of experience related to CI specialists, with a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
- A Master’s degree in a related area. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, may substitute for a Master's degree.
Work Environment
This position requires the candidate to be fully on-site. The role involves interaction with representatives of various intelligence community components and military organizations in a professional setting.
