Church Planting-Cameroon

About the role

Church Planters in Cameroon will serve, evangelize, and disciple unreached people groups, including the Baka, Fulbe, Kwakum, Pol, and Nizaa.

Responsibilities

• Evangelize and disciple new believers toward Christian maturity
• Faithfully teach the Bible in the native language
• Identify and equip leaders from among the discipled believers
• Aid established church leaders in their communities
• Create and maintain gospel-driven relationships with the people served
• Work with a team to prepare indigenous servant leaders to establish and lead healthy, self-sustaining churches

Requirements

• A Biblical Studies BA or equivalent experience
• Experience with evangelism and discipleship
• A solid commitment to the spiritual disciplines (e.g., Bible reading, prayer)
• Proficiency in the assigned unreached people group's language

Qualifications

• A vibrant and dedicated spiritual life
• A solid understanding of the Scriptures and ability to teach and communicate the Old Testament in relation to Jesus Christ
• Patience and dedication

Skills

• Ability to live among the unreached people group, learning their language and culture
• Teaching the Bible in formal and informal settings
• Evangelizing and discipling the people
• Identifying and equipping native leaders
• Training indigenous church leaders to disciple believers
• Developing current and future church leaders with biblical and practical leadership skills
