Work Location: California Southern Job Type Part time To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will provide leadership to cultivate thriving partnerships with local churches and coordinate volunteer engagement that strengthens campus ministry. The Church Partnership & Volunteer Coordinator will cultivate a partnership for churches to see campus ministry as a shared mission and where volunteers are meaningfully integrated into disciple-making efforts. This role will strengthen relational bridges between InterVarsity staff, churches, alumni, and volunteers—mobilizing a broader community to reach students with the gospel. Administration Provide administrative services and financial management to ministry staff as requestedEnsure adherence to regional and national policies, procedures, reporting requirements and financial guidelinesReport regularly to supervisor on assigned workMinistry Partnership Development (MPD) and Public Relations:Develop a ministry team of partners who will resource the ministry financially, in prayer, or with volunteer service that advances the missionServe as an ambassador of InterVarsity to individual partners and churches through prayer, discussion of ministry efforts, mission, and accomplishmentsDevelop and maintain a ministry among partners that will fund InterVarsityEnsure ministry budget is fully fundedSupervise each minister’s MPD (collaborating with coaches when applicable) and equip ministry staff to build ministry partnershipsBuild resource networks with alumni, volunteers, churches, advocacy councils, and major donors, in particular to fund low-network ministry staffCommunicate regularly and minister to ministry partners Maintain sound financial status of the area through management of budgeting, expense control and MPD. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Accomplish all other assigned tasks as appropriate. Affirm and behave consonantly with InterVarsity’s “Women in Ministry Statement of Affirmation”Bachelor’s degree requiredOngoing call to ministry service with InterVarsity and its mission3-5 years’ prior experience as an InterVarsity Campus Staff (or equivalent ministry experience) requiredMinistry skills (including the ability to communicate spiritual vision, teach spiritual and biblical principles, plan ministry programs, and spiritually disciple, coach and mentor)Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software Pay Range: $55,200.00 - $73,608.00 per year Pay: This position is funded through personal fundraising. Accordingly, compensation will vary based on the ability of the individual to secure a donor team to fund the cost of his/her salary. The anticipated salary range for this position on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) is dependent on a variety of factors, including location and cost of living. The actual salary received, including any geographic adjustment to account for location and cost of living, is subject to the individual’s ability to raise funds necessary to cover the full amount of such salary within the range set forth in the job posting details.
