About the role
The College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS) seeks a faculty fellow to work closely with the Associate Dean for Research during the academic year 2026-27 (August 2026 to August 2027).
Responsibilities
- Support faculty development, mentoring, and promotion for the College of Humanities and Sciences.
- Work closely with the AD for Research and other members of the dean’s office on revising key research/scholarship policies.
- Implement CHS internal funding and strategic planning in alignment with VCU’s Research Strategic Priorities Plan (SRPP) initiatives and the recently developed 16 research clusters.
- Help facilitate collaborations aimed at training or center-level grants.
Requirements
- Tenured at the associate professor or professor rank.
- Research-active and have an understanding of multiple aspects of research and scholarship.
- Experience with grants and/or publication process is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be a member of the CHS faculty.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Benefits
- A teaching reduction each semester.
- A $4,000 summer stipend.
Pay
- Salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
- Full-time, academic year position (August 2026 to August 2027).
