CHMC - FOOD SERVICE WORKER

About the role

This position combines both food preparation and food service, handling general functions related to production, sanitation, and customer service. Work involves arranging dining areas, cleaning service spaces, and managing dishware. Depending on department needs, you may further specialize as a cafeteria worker, caterer, clerk, cook, or dietary supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Arrange tables and decorations according to instructions.
• Clean and organize eating and service areas.
• Collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Document and record information accurately.
• Process necessary information.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/G.E.D. preferred.
• Must have knowledge of Customer and Personal Service principles.
• Must be able to recognize age-specific needs of patients and customers and adapt services accordingly.
• 1-2 years of food service work experience is preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.48-$23.98. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

Schedule

Part Time, Day Shift. This is an 8 hour shift with start times available at 6:30am (until 2:30pm), 7am (until 3pm), 8am (until 4pm), or 10am (until 6:30pm).
