CHMC - Critical Care Technician

The Role

The Critical Care Technician primarily assists licensed nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit through:

• Delivery of basic care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Managing ICU technology, specialized supplies, and vital record keeping.
• Enhancing flow between healthcare providers to optimize resource use.
• Maintaining high attention to detail in cardiac and vital sign data.

Qualifications

• A high school graduate or equivalent.
• Two (2) or more years of previous patient care or EMS background.
• Proficiency in computer use and program applications.
• Acuity Management: Ability to prioritize workload in a fluctuating, high-acute environment.
• Certifications: Must maintain current BLS.

Requirement

Must pass Health Stream: Adult Learn Rhythms within 60 days of hire.
