Chiropractic Medical Assistant - Bilingual

About the role

First Choice Health Centers is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to join their Pain Management Center in East Hartford. This position involves delivering direct care services, patient engagement, and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a full range of tasks in delivering patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Prepare patients for appointments, collect and record clinical information, respond to patient calls, and document patient interactions.
• Manage patients according to protocols, schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits, and assist patients with external resources.
• Monitor task lists, follow up on overdue orders, and track critical referrals.
• Aid the care team to ensure smooth office operations and provide excellent service through teamwork.
• Adhere to patient safety standards and infection control guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience with an electronic health record.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• One to two years of MA experience.
• BLS Certification.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $17.50 - $22/hour, based on experience and certifications.

Schedule

This position primarily works Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There is one late night on Tuesday until 6 pm, but employees leave on Friday at 3 pm.
