Chiller Technician

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Chiller Technician who can troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and optimize large-tonnage HVAC systems in complex commercial environments such as hospitals, universities, laboratories, and large commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial and industrial chiller systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues
• Support equipment startup and commissioning
• Maintain chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, and related equipment
• Complete service documentation and communicate findings to customers
• Respond to critical equipment failures and emergency service calls

Requirements

• 10+ years of commercial HVAC and chiller experience
• Extensive experience with centrifugal, screw, air-cooled, and water-cooled chillers
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving refrigeration, electrical, and controls systems
• Experience working in healthcare, higher education, commercial, or industrial facilities
• EPA Universal Certification
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, or Smardt equipment
• Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Central utility plants and mission-critical facilities
• Factory training or manufacturer certifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

Pay

$45-$55 / hour
