Children’s Ministry Director - First United Methodist Church of Springfield

About the role

The director will serve on the FamilyLife team, working closely with the executive team, teachers, volunteers, and parents to provide spiritual leadership, organization, and creative support for the children's ministry. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves kids, takes Scripture seriously, and wants to see the next generation rooted in Biblical Truth.

Responsibilities

• Foster meaningful relationships with students and their families.
• Help cultivate a vibrant and welcoming community.
• Plan and lead family events.
• Provide spiritual leadership, organization, and creative support for the children's ministry.
• Work closely with the executive team, teachers, volunteers, and parents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in ministry, teaching, or a related field (or equivalent ministry experience) desired.
• Previous experience working with children as a church staff member or volunteer desired.

• Mature follower of Jesus Christ.
• Passion for building relationships with children and their families.
