Children's Ministry Director

About the role

This is a part-time (10–15 hours/week) Children's Ministry Director position at St. Paul Hurst United Methodist Church.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct ministry for children from birth through 5th grade
• Lead Sunday and Wednesday children's programming
• Supervise nursery staff
• Coincordinate seasonal family ministry events
• Partner with the pastor to envision new ways to engage children and families in the community

Requirements

• Experience working with children and families
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (child development, education, etc.) preferred
• Experience in church settings or youth ministry preferred

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
