Brief Description
Full time schedules can either be Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday. Flexible schedules and part-time options are available, along with remote options for those with independent licensure.
This is an onsite position in Parkersburg, WV. Pay is based on licensure level and experience.
Summary
Must have a comfort level treating children and adolescents age 3-18. Responsible for the provision of clinical services including: individual and group therapy, assessments, treatment planning, supportive counseling, and other clinical services identified as medically necessary.
This position may be face-to-face, remote or a combination of both.
Education And/or Experience
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related Behavioral Health Discipline from an accredited program.
- Practicum or Internship experience in the role of primary therapist and experience in behavioral health and/or substance abuse preferred.
- Licence eligible in Social Work or Counseling required.
- One year post graduate experience preferred.
- Prior computer/PC experience using computerized Medical Electronic Records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts individual, group and family psychotherapy in a manner consistent with ethical practices and within the skill level of the practitioner.
- Provides treatment services following the most appropriate therapy modality, ensuring that treatment is age appropriate, effective, efficient, and meet the client needs and satisfaction.
- Utilizes only evidenced-based approaches and materials with consumers in individual, group, and family therapy (research-proven effective techniques and curriculums).
- Performs documentation activities in a timely and accurate fashion adhering to State and Local Licensing laws well as policy requirements in regard to the format of documentation.
- Provides Case Management activities consistent with the role of primary therapist.
- Provides Crisis Intervention, assessing client and providing therapeutic interventions, making appropriate referral for service.
- Conducts standard intake evaluation following agency outlines, recommending therapeutic treatment.
- Complies with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of all consumer information and comply with HIPAA regulations including but not limited to completing Incident Reports.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Westbrook Health Services mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards and code of ethical behavior.
- Mets productivity standards as set by program and agency.
- Attends all center meetings/trainings as assigned.
