Children's Art Instructor - Broomfield

Qualifications

• Art Skills: Strong foundation in drawing, painting, color theory, and composition. A PDF art portfolio of 5-10 works or a portfolio website demonstrating these skills is required with the application.
• Experience: Preferred candidates have experience teaching or working with children, are comfortable leading groups and managing a classroom, and are able to teach art techniques and build skills.
• Education: Ideal candidates will have a degree or coursework in Art Education, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field is preferred. Art teachers, teaching artists, private art tutors, and/or art education students are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

• Teach structured art lessons that develop skills progressively over time
• Facilitate engaging classes for children of various ages (4-12 years) and skill levels
• Demonstrate drawing, painting, and other art techniques
• Break complex skills into clear, age-appropriate steps
• Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to students
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
