Children's Art and Science After-school Instructor

About the role

We're looking for talented, enthusiastic art and science instructors to teach our exciting curriculum that helps students build real artistic skills over time. The role is ideal for educators who enjoy working with children and can confidently teach foundational art techniques in a fun, supportive environment.

What You Will Do

• Teach structured art and science lessons that develop skills progressively over time
• Facilitate engaging classes for children of various ages and skill levels
• Demonstrate drawing, painting, and other art techniques
• Break complex skills into clear, age-appropriate steps
• Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to students
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment

Qualifications

• Art Skills – You should have a strong foundation in drawing, painting, and composition
• Science Skills – You should have basic scientific skills needed to demonstrate hands-on, child friendly experiments
• Experience – Preferred candidates have experience teaching or working with children, are comfortable leading groups and managing a classroom, and are able to teach art techniques and build skills
