Children Activity Assistant

About the role

This position contributes to the youth program's goal of providing fun, educational, and caring services to children of members and guests at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa. The role involves building rapport with children and their parents, participating in activities like arts and crafts, leading games, reading stories, and singing songs. You will also promote the club's youth programs and assist parents in registration.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead arts and crafts sessions
• Lead games and interactive activities
• Read stories and sing songs to children
• Promote and assist with program registration
• Keep facilities and equipment clean and well-maintained
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards
• Assist individuals with disabilities
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Communicate clearly and professionally
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
• Perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, moving, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Local and state agency required certifications or trainings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• No related work experience required
• No supervisory experience required
