Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation (classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule)
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support child achievement and center success
• Mentor new hires and fellow teachers, creating fun, interactive learning experiences for preschool children
• Assume duties of Director or Assistant Director in their absence, including opening and closing the school
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and company standards

Requirements

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA (preferred)
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
• At least 18 years of age
