Childcare - Teacher Assistant- PRN: Flexible Hours!

We are looking for a caring and energetic member to join our team, contributing to a positive, nurturing environment that is safe, clean, and organized for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years old. Childcare Teachers encourage children’s overall development through appropriate play-based activities and collaborative work with families.

Schedule and Pay

• Starting pay: $13.50/hour
• Flexible hours during center operation: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–6:00 PM
• Full-time opportunities available

Responsibilities

• Provide routine care for infants and children, including diapering, personal care, hygiene support, hand washing, and serving meals and snacks
• Maintain a safe environment through constant supervision, adherence to staff/child ratios, accurate name-to-face attendance, and consistent assessment of children’s general health with timely reporting of concerns
• Support a clean, organized, and structured environment—indoors and outdoors—by following Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) strategies
• Deliver exceptional customer service to families and complete all required documentation accurately and within established deadlines
• Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time and participating in required training sessions, staff meetings, and annual professional development

Requirements

• Ability to meet health and safety requirements, including passing a ChildServe physical exam and adhering to any applicable COVID-19 protocols
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, remain mobile in classroom and playground environments, and perform frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and standing
• Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, Mandatory Reporter, Standard Precautions, and DHS Pre-Service Essential Training certifications within 90 days of hire
• Effective communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
• High school diploma or GED required; prior experience providing care and supervision for children preferred
