Medical Childcare Assistant (PRN - Flexible Hours)

Responsibilities

• Provide care and assist with treatment services outlined in each child’s individualized care plan.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of nurses and therapists to promote each child’s development and skill retention.

Requirements

• Preferred: Experience working with children with special healthcare needs.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., move throughout classroom and playground areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
• Must pass the Iowa DCI child and adult abuse and criminal background checks prior to hire and every two years thereafter, and complete the child abuse affidavit.
• Must also pass the National FBI criminal background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Benefits

• The starting pay for this position is $14.02/hour.
• This role is eligible for a $500 hiring bonus (paid out at 90 days) for new hires able to work a minimum of 9 hours per week during the closing of 3-6pm shift.

Schedule

Flexible hours, with a high need for availability between 3-6 PM. Our center is open Monday-Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM.
