About This Role
Come join an amazing teaching team! Northshire Day School is hiring a full-time teacher assistant to work with children 6 weeks to 5 years.
What You'll Do
- Be excited and enthusiastic about working with and educating young children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment
- Demonstrate proficient written and verbal communication
- Apply knowledge about the STARS program and early childhood licensing regulations
- Implement a play-based curriculum
- Apply skills and education in child development and learning
- Build family and community relationships
- Observe, document and assess children
- Use developmentally appropriate practice
- Build quality curriculum following the Vermont Early Learning Standards
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment
- Commit to growing as an early childhood professional
- Work collaboratively with colleagues
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
- A.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education (or 21 related college credits)
- At least 1-year experience working with young children

Pay
Hourly wage based on degree and experience.
Schedule
Candidate must be available to work 8:00am-4:30pm.
