Childcare Provider

About the Role

This position can work at any of our physical locations. Please specify your preference on the online application. The Childcare Provider’s schedule is very flexible and is scheduled on an “as needed” basis based upon your availability.

Schedule

The role has no set or guaranteed hours; you may work as little or as much as you like. Recurring events that require childcare include Women’s Bible Study on Wednesday mornings at the Colleyville campus, Discover Compass classes, Rooted Classes, New Member Gatherings, Celebrate Recovery, and other special events throughout the year. During many events you may bring your preschool‑age and younger children with you, with advance notification to the Childcare Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and loving environment where children learn that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Compass Childcare Policies and Procedures.
• Interact, engage, and play with children through crafts, games, lessons, and other activities.
• Communicate your availability for upcoming events that need Childcare Providers.
• Be dependable and reliable when signing up for a scheduled church event.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian who is comfortable working in a church environment and aligns with our Christian beliefs.
• Organized with the ability to multitask.
• Great team player who maintains a high standard of care for children.
• Ability to clearly communicate availability and be dependable for scheduled events.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb, stand for extended periods, and sit on the floor to play with children.
• Capable of thinking on your feet, working well under pressure, and assessing/responding to situations.
• Positive attitude and approach to problem solving.

Pay

• Under 18: $10 per hour
• 18 and over: $11 per hour
