Childcare Provider

About the Role

This position provides childcare at any of our physical locations, with the ability to specify a preferred site on the online application. The role is designed for flexibility, allowing you to work as little or as much as you like, based on your availability and the needs of scheduled events.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and loving environment where children learn that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Compass Childcare Policies and Procedures.
• Engage children with crafts, games, lessons, and play activities.
• Communicate availability clearly for upcoming events that require childcare providers.
• Be dependable and reliable when signing up for scheduled church events.
• Lift up to 25 lb as needed and work with minimal physical restrictions, including standing for extended periods or sitting on the floor to play with children.
• Think quickly, work well under pressure, and assess and respond appropriately to situations.
• Maintain a positive attitude and approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Committed Christian who is comfortable working in a church environment and aligns with our Christian beliefs.
• Organized with the ability to multitask.
• Skilled at interacting, engaging, and playing with children.
• Team player who collaborates well with co‑workers.
• Dedicated to maintaining a high standard of care for children at all times.
• Reliable and dependable for scheduled events.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 lb and stand or sit on the floor for extended periods.
• Capable of thinking on your feet and working well under pressure.
• Ability to assess situations and respond appropriately.
• Positive attitude and problem‑solving approach.

Schedule

The childcare provider’s schedule is highly flexible and operates on an “as needed” basis, determined by your availability. There are no set or guaranteed hours. Recurring events that may require childcare include Women’s Bible Study (Wednesday mornings at the Colleyville campus), Discover Compass classes, Rooted classes, New Member Gatherings, Celebrate Recovery, and other special events throughout the year. During many events you may bring your preschool‑aged or younger children with advance notification to the Childcare Coordinator.

Pay

$15 per hour
