Childcare Multi-Site Director - Before & After School
About the role
The Multi-Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of sites in Petersham and Royalston, MA. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a pay range of $25.00–$28.00 per hour, following the school district schedule.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Area Director or Regional Director and manages direct reports including Site Supervisors and Assistant Teachers.
- Visits sites regularly to support teachers, ensure programs run well, and build relationships with school building staff.
- Recruiting, hiring, and leading Site Directors and teachers.
- Maintains a reliable substitute list and fills gaps before they affect the program.
- Coaches and supports Site Directors and teachers in the moment and through structured check-ins.
- Addresses performance issues directly and documents appropriately.
- Fosters a positive, mission-driven team culture across sites.
- Monitors enrollment at each site and ensures compliance with state licensing.
- Serves as the primary day-to-day contact with school building leadership.
- Coordinates with school staff on logistics, space use, schedules, and building-specific requirements.
- Escalates district-level concerns or relationship matters to supervisors.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Coordinator must meet one of the following qualification pathways:
- Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, the Arts, Social Work, Sociology, Child Care, or a related field, with at least 6 months of experience working with school-age children.
- Associate’s degree in one of the fields listed above, with at least 9 months of experience working with school-age children.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year of experience working with school-age children.
- Additionally, the Multi-Site Director must have at least 6 months of administrative experience, or completion of at least 9 college credits in management or administration from an accredited institution of higher education.
