Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Lead Teachers for their Before and After School Program at Bethel Elementary School in Bethel, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

$16.00 per hour

Status

Part-time, non-exempt

Schedule

  • Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM
  • Afternoon Program: 3:20 PM-6:30 PM

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

  • Candidate Must Possess One Of The Following:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
  • A Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
  • An Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • An Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience

Relevant experience includes: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age
  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB
  • Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
