Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Lead Teacher for their Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Responsibilities

  • Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities
  • Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program
  • Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
  • Sometimes performing management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing

Requirements

  • One of the following degrees: Bachelor’s in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
  • Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
  • Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age
  • Pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
  • Be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB
  • Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
