Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Lead Teacher for their Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School in Bernville, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Responsibilities
- Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities
- Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program
- Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
- Sometimes performing management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing
Requirements
- One of the following degrees: Bachelor’s in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
- Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience: working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth
Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
- Be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB
- Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
