Childcare Instructional Assistant

About the role

LADACIN Network, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving individuals with complex physical and developmental disabilities for over 75 years, providing educational, therapeutic, social, residential, and support services. The Childcare Instructional Assistant position supports young children in a nurturing and engaging childcare environment in Ocean Township, NJ. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates patience and teamwork, and assists with developmental and daily needs. Experience with young children and/or children with special needs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and staff with daily classroom activities and routines
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Encourage positive interactions and engagement among children
• Assist with snack, playtime, transitions, and other daily activities
• Collaborate with classroom staff and families as needed
• Follow all agency policies and childcare regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CDA preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Must pass required background clearances and screenings

Schedule

Part‑time hours, Monday‑Friday, either 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. or 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Work location: In person – Ocean Township, NJ.
