Childcare Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Kids Care Coordinator to oversee and enhance our childcare programs, ensuring a safe, engaging, and family-friendly environment for our members. This role involves functioning as a lead to Kids Care staff, fostering meaningful relationships with children and parents, and maintaining efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful and memorable relationships with children and their families.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for all children in the program.
- Design and implement age-appropriate learning and educational activities.
- Foster a playful and family-friendly environment that promotes fun and engagement.
- Maintain professional appearance and demonstrate a courteous and helpful attitude.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to department standards and expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to build a strong, cohesive, and effective team environment.
- Schedule staff shifts and approve payroll and time-off requests, ensuring alignment with budgeted hours.
- Monitor program performance, implement improvements, and attend departmental meetings as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with fitness facility members, promoting a sense of community and trust.
Requirements
- Prior customer service and childcare experience required.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required (must have infant, child & adult).
- At least 6 months of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging projects and activities for children.
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm and passion for working with children.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Pay
The compensation for this position ranges from $16.00/hour to $18.00/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, and work experience as well as other business needs.
